Custom Made Centerpiece

We kick off our monthly Centerpiece of the Month feature with a casual summer arrangement of flowers, sand and seashells that hints at carefree days spent at the beach. The breezy floral arrangement of Hydrangeas is the perfect tabletop accessory for a casual dinner with friends. It's so easy to assemble that you may decide that every table in your house should display this simple, yet eye-catching centerpiece.

Materials:

-Cluster of green Hydrangeas, stems newly cut.
-Two cylindrical vases, one small enough to fit inside the other, with room to spare.
-A bag of white sand
-Two dozen seashells

Directions:

Insert a glass cylindrical vase inside a larger one.

Fill the lower third of the space between the two vases with fine white sand.

Spread white shells on top of the sand.

Fill the smaller vase with water and place a cluster of green hydrangea in the vase so that it leans to one side.

(Glass Vase available at Finest Linens and Things).
